David is 38 and a well-known and respected broadcaster in the UK. He completed his medical education in 1993 at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School, University of London. He has a Bachelor of Science degree (1st class honours) as well as a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree. He worked as a full- time NHS doctor for three years before joining the BBC in 1996 and its high-profile news programme for children, Newsround.

Here he became the first person to present health issues for kids, tackling subjects as diverse as facial disfigurement, bullying and anorexia. He won an RTS award for best children’s factual programme.

Since then he has presented a string of prime-time shows including Watchdog Healthcheck, the science and technology show Tomorrow’s World, as well as Most Haunted Live and Hospital Live. He is a regular panellist on the current affairs show The Wright Stuff and Radio Five Live He has also written two books.

He founded his own Communication Company in 2000 called IncrediBull Ideas and now has thirty seven full-time staff, encompassing Public Relations, Event Management, Graphic Design, Talent Management and Television Production.

He is actively involved in raising funds and profile for a number of charities, including The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Medic Alert and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He is also a celebrity ambassador of the British Red Cross.

David’s passion for politics culminated with him being selected as the Conservative party parliamentary candidate for Brighton Pavilion in December 2006. David lives in Brighton and London and plays an active role in all aspects of community life.
