Post offices across
Brighton may be under threat. Only one week after our main post
office in the centre of Brighton has closed, the Government is
preparing to publish a list of 2,500 post offices across the
country.
Charles Hendry,
Shadow Post Offices and Brighton and Hove Minister, has said that he
will fight to keep open post offices across
Sussex.
Dr David Bull said,
"post offices are very important to small local communities. I can
think of a number of small sub post offices in Brighton Pavilion
that are vital to residents and I will do all in my power to keep
them open".

A boy was hit by a
bus in West Street today. Dr David Bull has long been talking of the
dangers to pedestrians along the major thoroughfare from the station
to the seafront. The problem becomes much more severe after
nightfall when drinkers descend onto West Street's many bars and
clubs.
One day on and buses
continue to race up West Street honking their horns as pedestrians
come close to being victims of road accidents
themselves.

Exciting news today
as David Cameron announced that Charles Hendry, MP for Wealden has
been appointed Shadow Minister for Brighton and
Hove.
The appointment
comes as part of an ongoing program from the Conservatives to focus
on important areas of the country. David Cameron said, “I’m
appointing Charles as Shadow Minister for Brighton and Hove as I
believe he is ideally suited to this task. I want him to champion
the area and ensure that all policies we formulate are right for
Brighton.”
Mr
Hendry was delighted by his appointment and commented, “I want to
ensure that Brighton and Hove’s concerns are at the heart of
Conservative thinking and make sure that the voice of Brighton and Hove
is heard. The city is exactly the sort of community which I
believe will respond especially well to David Cameron's approach and
ideas."
